LESSON 1: Salvation – Michelle Salanguste
This is the greatest miracle ever to happen in a person’s life-that being, the entering into eternal life and a relationship with God himself. With it comes the provision for deliverance from every form of evil & power to transform each life into the very image & nature of God.
Begin this first lesson by generating excitement & enthusiasm in the relating of your own personal salvation experience & the circumstances surrounding your conversion. Set the stage for further lessons by creating a positive atmosphere & a friendly setting. Describe what the experience of salvation has meant to you, being sure to include when & how you first received your own personal assurance of being saved.
LESSON 2: Water Baptism – Queen Villamor
This is a great major step of obedience to be understood & acted upon. Be sure to share your own personal testimony of this experience. For instance, how did you feel after being obedient to this commandment? What did this experience mean to you, & how has it helped you to grow spiritually?
Be sure to instruct the disciple to believe for & expect changes in his or her old worldly habits following this experience. At the end of this lesson, make sure you have imparted a good understanding of this principle & commandment.
LESSON 3: Holy Spirit – James Gallardo
The truths contained in this lesson will absolutely transform anyone’s life that is willing to grab hold of them & not let them go. It is your responsibility to instill a sense of their power & importance in the life of the disciple. Share the events that led up to your own Baptism in the Holy Spirit & the effects of it in your life. Include in your testimony what this experience & speaking in other tongues has meant to you. Be honest & share your own struggles in over-coming obstacles you faced in speaking in tongues.
LESSON 4: Devotional Life – Veronica Tesalona
This lesson is absolutely vital to the maintenance of a healthy Christian life. Without the understanding & practice of the principles found in this lesson, one’s spiritual life will remain stunted & impoverished. It is up to you to help the disciple see this truth clearly & begin to make it operational in his life.
Share your own personal experiences of how you have established both the word & prayer in your devotional life. Describe the difficulties you overcame in establishing this spiritual discipline. Take the responsibility of helping the disciple to schedule time for prayer. Help him set some goals for Bible reading and plans for getting it deeper into his life.
LESSON 5: Praise & Worship – Joshua Alarcon
This is one of the privileges of being a child of the Father, and one of life’s greatest blessings – to be a worshipper – in spirit and in truth. To be able to freely express your gratitude and adoration to the One who holds the universe in His hands. Praise God!
Begin this lesson by sharing some of your own personal experiences of initially encountering a body of believers praising God. For instance, describe when and where this happened, what your reaction was, and how you entered in. Be sure to include how you have been able to develop a greater release in your own life through the truths of praise and worship. Be free to tell of your own inhibitions you had to deal with in this area and your accompanying spiritual growth. In your testimony concerning these truths, end by relating the blessing and change you have received through praising God.
LESSON 6: Lordship – Tess Elicano
This is a lesson to be heralded as the only path to complete peace of mind and rest. Total abandonment to Jesus Christ -completely casting yourself upon Him. With it comes the end of struggle and strife – the end of double mindedness – it begins a life totally immersed in His perfect will. Share this excitement with the disciple – let him see it as a truth that, although demanding everything, is the doorway to every spiritual and material blessing. Jesus must be our Lord – there is no other way.
Be sure to share your experience of coming into an understanding of Lordship truth – for example, was it when you initially believed or was it later on in your Christian growth? Also include how you have practically learned to come into obedience to the Word, the Spirit, and spiritual Leadership.
LESSON 7: The Church – Raul Elicano
This is your last and final lesson – but certainly not the least in importance. The Church is the greatest most dynamic force on the face of the earth – stirring and awakening to take on the battle of the ages, kicking down the gates of hell. The Church is God’s own bride, Christ’s own body, the Father’s own family. The Church is the only hope for this earth – the salt and light for this planet. The Church is a mighty army arising throughout the land; and brother and sister, Jesus wants you!
In your sharing, describe how God led you in becoming a committed member of the local church. Also tell how you became committed to the leadership in the church. Include how relationships in the body have caused you to grow. Mention as well how God led you to the place where you supported the church in tithes and the giving of your finances.
So ends the teaching aspect of this discipling packet. Be sure not to allow your relationship with the disciple to end here as well. This is only the beginning – as there is need for encouragement and support and further clarification of truths until the disciple is himself able to stand strong on his or her own feet. Take on this responsibility and be blessed as you see another one of God’s wonderful children grow to maturity -knowing you had a part in it!
